Tobias Sigurdsson

Tobias Sigurdsson is the Head of Cargo & Specie at HDI Global in Stockholm, Sweden. After having finished his Master of Laws degree from Uppsala University, specializing in Maritime law at Oslo University and with a master thesis in Air law, he started his career within Marine insurance as a claims adjuster.

During his 20 years in the industry, he has done both claims and underwriting as well as managing a team of Marine underwriters. In his current role, he is actively underwriting and managing the team that holds the global mandate for the HDI Specie business (excl. Fine Art) as well as for the Nordic Cargo business.

After having served six years as Chairperson on Insurance Sweden’s Marine Liability Committee, he is since 2020, the Chairperson on the Cargo Committee and had the pleasure of speaking at IUMI 2022 in Chicago.
