
Tiina Ruhland
Tiina Ruhlandt is Managing Director of EIMC and Senior Vice President at Engle Martin, leading an international team specializing in marine insurance, claims adjusting, supply chain risk, and subrogation. With over 30 years of global experience, she is known for her expertise in fine art, wine, perishables, and other complex cargo.
Born in Hamburg and raised internationally, Tiina’s early exposure to the maritime world came through her father, a merchant mariner. She began her career in marine claims in the 1990s and has since advised clients across the U.S., Europe, and Lloyd’s markets. She frequently serves as an expert witness and consults on high-value claims and risk mitigation.
Tiina holds a Master’s in Art History and Museum Studies from NYU and a B.S. in Russian Language and History from Georgetown University. Her academic background supports her specialization in fine art and high-value goods.
A frequent speaker at global conferences, she has presented on topics such as cargo loss, fine art claims, and wine logistics. She is a recipient of the SmartCEO Brava Award and an active member of WISTA, the Appraisers Association of America, and the Inland Marine Underwriters Association.
