Jennifer Lavelle

Dr Jennifer Lavelle is a Senior Associate and policy coverage specialist. She has a Ph.D. in commercial law and a Masters in maritime law. Jennifer researched and taught various commercial and maritime law subjects at the University of Southampton and Queen Mary University London, before joining Clyde & Co ten years ago. She has contributed to several textbooks, including the forthcoming third edition of John Dunt’s, ‚Marine Cargo Insurance‘.

Jennifer also spent two years at UNCTAD in Geneva, where she published numerous reports on the international legal regimes for countering piracy and for providing compensation for ship-source oil pollution, prior to qualifying as a barrister and solicitor.
