Captain Vishal Sharma

Captain Vishal Sharma is a Master Mariner with over two decades of operational and technical expertise in the marine and offshore sectors. He holds a Diploma in Marine Surveying, specializing in Marine Warranty Surveys (MWS) and Mobile Offshore Units.

As a founding Director and current Vice Chairman of the Society of Offshore Marine Warranty Surveyors (SOMWS), Vishal has played a pivotal role in shaping industry standards and enhancing marine assurance practices. He began his MWS career with Falconer Bryan & Associates, which later became part of Aqualis Braemar, before co-founding Sterling Technical Services.

Throughout his career, he has contributed to a wide range of offshore construction campaigns, including platform installations, floatovers, and subsea operations involving risers, rigid pipelines, and flexible systems. He has also overseen complex project cargo operations supporting large-scale infrastructure developments around the world.

In addition to his offshore construction and project cargo transportation expertise, Vishal is well-versed in rig relocations, having served as both Marine Warranty Surveyor and Rig Mover. He has been a speaker at leading international forums such as the Offshore Technology Conference and Lloyd’s, sharing insights on best practices and evolving trends in Marine Warranty Services.
